TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE MUMMY TREE WAH EXPO
Where will the Expo be located -
As of 2012 and starting in Brisbane at our Morningside Market Venue –
River Park Place (Home of Hockey QLD)
400-420 Lytton Rd – next to new Colmslie Pool (off Col Gardner Dr)
We will be having WAH (Work at Home) Expos to coincide with our Boutique Family Market (4) times per year.
Sunday 26th February – 9am – 1pm (Applications open online 16th January)
Sunday 27th May – 9am – 1pm (Applications open online 16th April)
Sunday 30th September – 9am – 1pm (Applications open online 20th August)
Saturday 24th November – 3pm – 7pm (Twilight Market) (Applications open online 15thOctober)
About our WAH Expo
We aim to provide an effective promotional opportunity to showcase YOUR work at home opportunity as part of a relaxed and supportive community. There are opportunities to network with other businesses and share knowledge with like- minded colleagues who can truly relate to the benefits of running a small or home based business.
We compliment our marketplace with our dedicated online presence through facebook and also our websites to complete our circle of growth strategies which specifically promote businesses like yours both on-line and in the real world. We aim to increase exposure for your business which will flow on through increased awareness and therefore business growth.
‘The Mummy Tree WAH Expo’ and ‘The Mummy Tree Markets’ aim to offer quality unique merchandise at affordable prices and offer stallholders a desirable venue to showcase their business and their products/services.
We look at the type of business and products/services as well as what it offers to others looking for a WAH opportunity.
Products/services have to be of a high quality and there has to be a uniqueness to what is showcased, we will not accept more than one representative of any business and we also want to ensure the mix compliments our exiting market stallholders too.

We reserve the right not to accept retailers who do not meet our criteria or who we feel are not suitable for the demographic we are catering for.
What can you do at the EXPO
You can do the following –
- Sell directly
- Take orders
- Book parties
You can also run competitions, have giveaways or give out goodie bags.
There are very few opportunities to expose these opportunities and we feel it is a great way to show others what you do and are passionate about.
Please treat all other stallholders and visitors with the same respect we expect them to treat you with. We have a No Smoking Policy for stallholders and visitors within the indoor and outdoor Market area. Also it is imperative that you bring a positive attitude to our Expo/Market to ensure that we have a pleasant and friendly day.
Please ensure your stall clearly shows your name in an attractive way.
We will be operating from the facilities owned by BCC and leased by Hockey Qld. Occasionally there may be hockey games on whilst the Markets/Expo are operating, please make sure you treat all Hockey visitors with respect and consideration as they may also be customers for you.
You are required to bring your own table and products as well as signage. All tables require a full length cover so any items stored underneath are not visible at all.
Please make sure your stall looks appealing and is set out attractively as this will encourage potential interested parties to pay more attention to your stall. Add a personal touch and aim for stylish and welcoming. This is very important for the overall quality feel of our Expo/Market so you need to pay great attention to this to ensure your business fits well within our Expo/Market.
Please make sure all rubbish from your stall area is disposed of before you leave or is taken with you. We wish to keep cleaning costs to a minimum therefore keeping stall prices down.
Please arrive on the premises NO EARLIER THAN 7.30am, to ensure your stall is set up and ready for operations by 9am. You can unload in the main carpark but you must then park your vehicle on the road (unless we have given you a special permission) to ensure there are plenty of carparks for the customers/visitors before 9am.
PLEASE NOTE – do not arrive before 7.30am as we will not be ready for you before then.
Please do not close your stall before 1pm.
Daytime market hours are – 9am – 1pm
Once the markets/expo are over please clean up your market area, pack up and aim to be gone from the Market premises by 3pm.
You will not necessarily be given the same stall area at every expo, however all EXPO stall holders will be located indoors in the main function area which is air conditioned – the general market area is outside.
If you choose to/need to bring children please make sure to the best of your ability that they do not disturb other stall holders or cry extensively during operating hours. It is best to have another adult present to supervise them if possible.
It is important that there is someone manning your stall at all times. It is best two of you operate each stall in case you need to go to the bathroom or leave the premises for any reason. Another option is to arrange with a next door stallholder to look after things for you if you need to have a toilet stop.
Try to be considerate of other stallholders and help if you can and they will do the same for you. We are trying to create a community goodwill and success.
Please make sure all walkways and thoroughfares that we have allowed for remain unblocked. This is a safety issue. Please do not store any items outside of your designated stall area.
Please ensure you have racks or whatever you need to clearly display your merchandise in addition to your table.
These conditions must be adhered to at our Expo so as to be able to continue to have the opportunity to trade with us.
Booking Information and Stall Pricing
Please complete the online application form if you wish to apply to participate as a stall-holder at the ‘Mummy Tree WAH Expo’.
Full Stall payment is now required at the time of applying.
If we cannot approve you we will refund you fully within (14) days of applying. You will be advised if you have been approved also within (14) days of applying. It is in your best interests to apply early to avoid disappointment. We envisage having between 20-40 stalls available for our WAH Expo.
All Expo Stall Prices are $155.00 including GST & Insurances.
Space provided is approximately 2.5m x 2.0m – BYO all stock and equipment including tables.
NB/All our stallholders have the opportunity to be featured in our ‘Best & Beautiful Buys Online Directory’ which is profiled on our Mummy Tree Markets Main Website. Once you have been approved you will be provided with Registration details for our website where you can access all necessary information as well as being able to submit your details for our online directory.
Power is very limited ($10 extra per market), please advise if this is required on your application.
All stalls must be FULLY paid for upon applying, approvals/refunds will be provided within (14) days of applying. Paypal may change a small fee when we provide a refund so please provide your Bank Account details on the application form if you wish to avoid this and your application is not approved.
If you book for an Expo and find you will no longer be able to attend, please notify us immediately.
If you cancel your booking with us between 4-6 weeks from the market date we will fully refund you less a $25 administration fee.
If you cancel your booking with us between 2-4 weeks from the market date we will refund you 50% if we can re-book your stall for the full stallholder fee, if not we will not offer you a refund.
If you cancel your booking within 2 weeks of the market date we will not refund you any of your stallholder fee.
Important to Note
Very limited powered sites are offered. If power is required for your stall you will have to pay an extra fee of $10 per market, if power is imperative to your business please note this on your application.
We do not refund in the case of bad weather however all stalls are located indoors for our WAH Expo.
You will be able to access all relevant information as well as submit information for our ‘Best & Beautiful Buys Online Directory’ once you have been approved by registering on our website, information provided will show stall location map and number as well as all our other market stallholder information.
Any damage caused to the premises will be the responsibility of the stall holder in question to have suitably rectified.
Failure to abide by our terms and conditions may jeopardize any further opportunities with the Mummy Tree.
Paypal is our required method of payment which is required in full when you apply.
STAND-BY STALLHOLDERS/WAITING LIST
If you apply for a Market position and you meet all criteria but no places are available at that time you are able to elect to go on a ‘waiting list’ or be a standby stallholder.
If we approve you but do not have a position for you we can either carry your payment/application over to our next market or provide you with a refund..

We want the Mummy Tree Expo/Markets to have a positive vibe and to be a place both stallholders and families look forward to spending time- to be truly chic, inspired and unique. To be a place where you can get great exposure for your business as well as providing an opportunity to socialize and talk to others about your business and products and services as well as making connections and sales prior to the market, on market day and after market day.
