The Christmas spirit was definitely in the air at our last market of 2012!  There was a very festive atmosphere at the market on Sunday with people enjoying the chance to do some Christmas shopping and stallholders showcasing so many beautiful items!!

The St Anthony’s Choir performances were fabulous with many people enjoying the Christmas carols featured on the Beyond the Stars This Christmas CD!  The CDs are raising money for the Children’s Ward at St Vincent’s Hospital and several other great charities.

Santa arrived to the excitement of many children and handed out lots of candy canes and was busy making sure all the boys and girls were being ‘nice’.  The market even had a visit from Fergus the Frog who gave out some food for Santa’s reindeers!

Lots of children had a great time being ‘toy testers’ for Artsorted Worx and creating some finger print paintings too! And of course there were plenty of colourful young faces around the market thanks to Cleo the Clown‘s wonderful face painting.  Children also got to experience a small insight into life at kindergarten thanks to Vera Lacaze Memorial Kindergarten & Preschool.  Bead making was fun for all ages thanks to Simply Beads and SandWizard‘s sand paintings were very popular too.  And there was so much more to keep the kids happy including a jumping castle, play area and fairy floss.

The market looked absolutely amazing with such an array of quality stalls showcasing not only baby & children’s clothing, but ladies clothing, vintage prints, jewellery, swimwear, photography,  giftware, skin care and the list goes on!  And then there was all the delicious food and drink options including fudge, chocolate, popcorn, ice tea, twisted potatoes, dumplings, gourmet coffee, cake pops, macaroons and pizza!

Thank-you everyone who came and visited the market, both stallholders and customers seemed to be having a great time. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the shopping and we hope you managed to tick off some items on your Christmas list!!

This was the last market run by us as we are going to focus on our own business, Little Lions, and our family life for a while especially with a new baby on the horizon early next year for Kristy. The market will continue to run next year and taking over will be Linda Lester and Anita Baills. We wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for being so supportive of the market and of us!
