Wow what an amazing weekend! Our first market for the year and it was a massive 2 day event. Customers were able to shop in comfort in our roomier venue with our stallholders showcasing so many beautiful items!!

So many talented performers helped add to the atmosphere of our market. Kate Eckersall, Lisa and the Murrmaids, Jules Daniel, Brooke Mowett and Dick Dangerfield all contributed amazing music. Le Dance had some very talented performers grace our stage on Saturday and Fitness and Dance Toowoomba had some cute little cheerleaders in their performances on Sunday

Lots of children had a great time being ‘toy testers’ for Artsorted Worx and playing with make-do! And of course there were plenty of colourful young faces around the market thanks to Childrens Party Star‘s wonderful face painting.  Children also got to experience the joys of farm life thanks to Serendipity Animal FarmJumping Joey’s had the kids bouncing away their cares while Mum and Dad looked on.

The market looked absolutely amazing with such an array of quality stalls showcasing not only baby & children’s clothing, but ladies clothing, vintage prints, jewellery, swimwear, photography,  giftware, skin care and the list goes on!  And then there was all the delicious food and drink options including fudge, popcorn, twisted potatoes, poffertjes, gourmet coffee, cake pops, macaroons and pizza!

We would like to thank our Market Photographer Cathy from Scarlett Studio for taking such wonderful photos of our market. A big thanks too, to our market stylist Marissa from Couture Crafts for her beautiful decorative touches around the venue.

Thank-you everyone who came and visited the market, both stallholders and customers seemed to be having a great time. We even had problems on Saturday closing the venue as customers were enjoying themselves so much that they did not want to leave!  It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the shopping and so many children enjoying the children’s activities.

We look forward to seeing you again on July 7,

Anita & Emma

Another successful market at the Salo Centre in Toowoomba. Thank you to all of our loyal stall holders and a very warm welcome to many new stall holders as well.

The courtyard was alive with the sounds of music!!! We were very fortunate to have the Toowoomba Choral Society performing snippets from their upcoming show “The Sound of Music”. We were also entertained by the amazing magical talents of Chappelly the Magician. The children were also entertained by Children’s Party stars in the courtyard and Artsorted Worx inside.

Toowoomba 27th April 2014

Toowoomba 27 April 2014

New Venue + New Manager + New Marketing Manager + New Stylist = One Great Mummy Tree Market!  And after today, we can’t wait for the next one.
Toowoomba has had a facelift and what an amazing start to the first Mummy Tree Market for 2014 with the new team.
As soon as the doors opened to the public at 9am, the aisles were flooded with prams and baby bumps!  Not only did we have stalls that catered for the new mums and mums-to-be, but we had stalls that catered for others.
From ladies fashion / jewellery to machine embroidery for any purpose.  The Dad’s were happy with sitting on the bleachers reading ‘The Chronicle’ while their partners went off searching for amazing products on offer from our stall holders.  WHO SAID THE MUMMY TREE MARKETS WAS JUST FOR BABY THINGS???

Princess Jasmine was a treat for the kids offering manicures and face painting.  Did I mention that the kids loved the tasty treats she was giving out while roaming the aisles of the markets as well?
The courtyard was filled with the aroma of coffee and food.  With plenty of grassy areas and seating, it was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a coffee from LA Gormet Coffee Carts, on a gorgeous Autumn Day.

A huge thank you is extended to the staff and students of St Ursula’s College, who prepared a sausage sizzle to raise money for White Light, which is a local charity that provides toiletries to the shelters for women who have been victims of domestic violence.  If you want to lend your support to this incredible cause please visit www.facebook.com/whiteandlight for more information on how you can help.
We can’t wait to see you all at the next market on 27th July.  Let’s make the next one even bigger and better than the first one for 2014.

Sunday December 9 Market Day

The Christmas spirit was definitely in the air at our last market of 2012!  There was a very festive atmosphere at the market on Sunday with people enjoying the chance to do some Christmas shopping and stallholders showcasing so many beautiful items!!

The St Anthony’s Choir performances were fabulous with many people enjoying the Christmas carols featured on the Beyond the Stars This Christmas CD!  The CDs are raising money for the Children’s Ward at St Vincent’s Hospital and several other great charities.

Santa arrived to the excitement of many children and handed out lots of candy canes and was busy making sure all the boys and girls were being ‘nice’.  The market even had a visit from Fergus the Frog who gave out some food for Santa’s reindeers!

Lots of children had a great time being ‘toy testers’ for Artsorted Worx and creating some finger print paintings too! And of course there were plenty of colourful young faces around the market thanks to Cleo the Clown‘s wonderful face painting.  Children also got to experience a small insight into life at kindergarten thanks to Vera Lacaze Memorial Kindergarten & Preschool.  Bead making was fun for all ages thanks to Simply Beads and SandWizard‘s sand paintings were very popular too.  And there was so much more to keep the kids happy including a jumping castle, play area and fairy floss.

The market looked absolutely amazing with such an array of quality stalls showcasing not only baby & children’s clothing, but ladies clothing, vintage prints, jewellery, swimwear, photography,  giftware, skin care and the list goes on!  And then there was all the delicious food and drink options including fudge, chocolate, popcorn, ice tea, twisted potatoes, dumplings, gourmet coffee, cake pops, macaroons and pizza!

We would like to thank our Market Photographer Vanessa from Vanessa Grace Photography for taking such wonderful photos of our market.

Thank-you everyone who came and visited the market, both stallholders and customers seemed to be having a great time. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the shopping and we hope you managed to tick off some items on your Christmas list!!

This was the last market run by us as we are going to focus on our own business, Little Lions, and our family life for a while especially with a new baby on the horizon early next year for Kristy. The market will continue to run next year and taking over will be Linda Lester and Anita Baills. We wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for being so supportive of the market and of us!

Merry Christmas,

Kristy & Katrina xxx
