What a fantastic location Sanctuary Cove is for a market – and finally today the sun was shining and the wind wasn’t too blustery!
I am always amazed by the gorgeous items our stallholders have for sale, and by how beautiful their displays look and today was no exception – thank you to all of you who put in such a lot of effort to present your products in a boutique, unique way. Make sure you check out the photo album for today HERE – Wendy from Wendy Maley Photography does a brilliant job capturing the feel of the day.
Keeping the kids happy is a high priority for us, as always Childrens Party Stars did an amazing job with the facepainting, Monica, from Music with Monica had the babies moving and grooving, and as always D J Elektra from Star Parties kept the party pumping – even though she had to leave early for another event and left ME holding the mic – not my finest moment!!
It just wouldn’t be a Mummy Tree Market without popcorn, sno-cones and fairy floss from our loyal regulars Sweet n Salty and indulgent cupcakes and macarons, this time from Sweet Tooth Delights by Em.
Thank you to everyone who came and visited the market, both stallholders and customers seemed to be having a great time and the vibe was really nice. I am really looking forward to doing it all again at our AMAZING Sanctuary Cove Christmas Market, once again in the Marine Village on December 14th – we will be open a bit longer for this market – 1pm-6pm – and there will be so much incredible Christmassy Goodness you won’t be able to believe your eyes!!
Our next market is on December 7th at Robina State School from 9am-1pm – it proving VERY popular with the stallholders booking in, so its going to be fantastic and have a great range of Christmas goodies also!
We were invited by Sanctuary Cove to move our markets inside their café precinct for this market. Having it surrounded by lovely cafes, gardens and boats really added to the boutique atmosphere!
The weather was not our friend this day. After weeks of brilliant sunshine we woke to patchy storm clouds and blustery wind. We always stay positive until the last possible moment at The Mummy Tree so we didn’t let the thought of rain cross our minds at all - our optimism was rewarded with not a single drop, and even some sunshine later in the day!
We did have a few showers early in the morning though when the sprinkler system came on, resulting in very muddy grass underfoot later in the day, but everyone kept smiling and no harm was done (other than to the grass!!)
We had an amazing variety of beautiful products and services showcased, many for the first time, and we got such good feedback we are sure they will be back.
Keeping the kids happy is a high priority for us, as always Childrens Party Stars did an amazing job with the facepainting and Sarah Jane from Fig Tree Fairy Parties did balloon twisting again – my favourite is her cute little butterfly
The lovely Monica, from Music with Monica kept the babies moving and grooving.
Assist-a-Parent intended to tell stories but were kept so busy doing plastic craft painting that they never got a chance!
As always D J Elektra from Star Parties kept the party pumping!
Sanctuary Cove asked us to utilise their gourmet cafes instead of inviting our own food vendors, but we still managed to have a couple of our favourites along with popcorn, sno-cones and fairy floss from our loyal regulars Sweet n Salty and indulgent cupcakes and macarons from the gorgeous Heather at Crave Cupcakes.
Thank you to everyone who came and visited the market. Both stallholders and customers seemed to be having a great time and the vibe was really nice.
I look forward to doing it all again and seeing you all again back at Sanctuary Cove in the Marine Village on November 9th – this time for our Twilight Market from 2-6pm – its going to be beautiful!
Finally, a perfect day for a market! The weather was just stunning and we thought people would hit the beach rather than the markets after such an extended period of bad weather, but no! Hundreds of lovely families came to check out all the amazing products and services on display at Robina State School last weekend.
This was our FIRST BIRTHDAY market at this venue! We had an amazing variety of beautiful products and services showcased, and we are lucky enough once again to have Wendy from Wendy Maley Photography on hand to capture it all.
We had a few differences this time – an altered layout and new types of childrens entertainment. We had two FREE magic shows from The Magic Castle – Gold Coast Childrens Party Stars did an amazing job with the facepainting once again, Sarah Jane from Fig Tree Fairy Parties did balloon twisting for us and the lovely Natalie aka Alice from Strawberry Fundaes wandered around blowing bubbles and handing out goodies to all the kids.
It just wouldn’t be a Mummy Tree Market without yummy gourmet food options, and of course we didn’t disappoint with everything from Thai to cupcakes, bread to waffles, corkscrew potatoes and popcorn to burgers. many thanks to Coffee Obsession for coming in at the last minute when our regular coffee crew couldn’t attend.
We had lots of different products this market, it was a really nice mix. Thank you to everyone who came and visited the market, both stallholders and customers seemed to be having a great time and the vibe was really nice. If you would like to see photos check out the image gallery.
I look forward to doing it all again and seeing you all again at Sanctuary Cove on September 14th – we will be inside the Village this time, meandering through the cafes – its going to be lovely!
We didn’t get much sleep the night before listening to the heavy rain on the roof, but we were very lucky and didn’t get a single drop of rain until nearly 1pm when the market closed – and then boy! Did it rain!!!
This was such a fun market. We had an amazing variety of beautiful products and services showcased, and we are lucky enough to have Wendy from Wendy Maley Photography on hand to capture it all.
We had such a great range of entertainment on Saturday – the kids didn’t know where to go first! Visits from The Magic Castle – Gold Coast were a hit, Childrens Party Stars did an amazing job with the facepainting and free loot bags.
Monica, from Music with Monica had the babies moving and grooving, Fig Tree Fairy Parties twisted poodles, crocodiles and all manner of things from balloons and D J Elektra from Star Parties kept the party pumping!
The jumping castle and mini golf from Hall of Fitness was a hit as usual and we had Kims Itty Bitty Mobile Animal Farm back again so the kids (big & little) could feed and cuddle baby animals.
We also had The Painter Gals miming their way around the market and Chantel Cadden entertaining with her beautiful voice.
Greencross Vets from Oxenford brought along a puppy to play with, along with mini vet scrubs for the kids to play dressups and try out their bandaging skills.
The market also smelled devine from all the delicious food options including churros, popcorn, thai, gourmet coffee, hot corn, ice cream, waffles, and bakery items!
Thank you to everyone who came and visited the market, both stallholders and customers seemed to be having a great time and the vibe was really nice.
I look forward to doing it all again and seeing you all again at Robina on August 3, Cheryl x
Wow what an amazing day! The sky might have been overcast but the smiles all around were certainly sunny!!
The market atmosphere was just buzzing and it looked exciting with so many people browsing the boutique stalls – we had not only baby & children’s clothing, but ladies clothing, vintage prints, jewellery, swimwear, photography, giftware, skin care, toys, free baby advice from Helping Hands for Tiny Tots, pram and bedroom accessories and the list goes on!
We had such a great range of entertainment on Saturday – the kids didn’t know where to go first! Dora and Peppa Pig from The Magic Castle – Gold Coast were a hit with the little princesses in the crowd, Childrens Party Stars did an amazing job with the facepainting and free loot bags, Monica, from Music with Monica had the babies moving and grooving, Little Apple Tree spun some magical tales, Playdough People let the creativity flow and D J Elektra kept the party pumping! The jumping castle and mini golf from Hall of Fitness was a hit as usual and for the first time we had Kims Itty Bitty Mobile Animal Farm so the kids (big & little) could feed and cuddle baby animals.
The market also smelled devine from all the delicious food options including cake pops, popcorn, thai, gourmet coffee, hot corn, ice cream, cupcakes, macarons and bakery items! I went home with bulging bags of goodies to treat the kids and hubby!
My highlight for the day was the Prize Table – we had so many amazing goodies to give away and the display was really eye catching – the best part was calling customers to tell them they had won!
Thank you to our Market Photographer Wendy from Wendy Maley Photography for taking such wonderful photos of our market, and thank-you to everyone who came and visited the market, both stallholders and customers seemed to be having a great time and the vibe was really nice.
I look forward to seeing you again at Sanctuary Cove on July 20 and Robina on August 3,
What a great day !! The weather was on our side right from the get go. What started off as dreading rain for Gold coasters ended in a beautifully sunny afternoon out, which was much needed for all local families. The stall quality was as usual at such high standards, and it was wonderful to welcome in some new and fresh businesses as well as our regulars who never disappoint. We had new entertainer Chanted Cadden, who brought the country pop tunes flowing through the crowd. While star parties DJ Elektra had all the kids engaged dancing and having fun! Well done Star Parties you never miss a beat, and Music with Monica had the children showing off their musical talents and singing until they dropped!
With all the great entertainment and fantastic overall vibe, shopping parents were free to taste all the great gourmet food and coffee, sample the products, but most of all enjoy their time out in the sunshine with their children.
A special big thank you to Tracey Campbell from Party Stars who did a solid 4 hour face painting job, our market photographer Jess Gunnion Photography, all our stallholders who cooperated on the day, and who consistently help make our market the premier boutique market for all ages and tastes
Thank you again and look forward to next time J

The day certainly made it clear that summer was on it’s way! Beautiful sunshine and a gentle breeze greeted us as we set up for the days market, and as stallholders started to arrive and marquees were being set up and we looked around and where before was a wide open empty space, now amazingly there were these beautiful little mini shops everywhere! We’d been impressed with the effort and creativity stallholders had put into making their stalls well and truly fit in with the “chic, inspired, unique” moto at previous markets, but were absolutely blown away by the standard of the setups at this market, in particular some of the newbies who hadn’t had a market with us before were just outstanding and so different from other stalls it really brought a fresh new feel to the day!
The range of baby/childrens wear and accessories, maternity, art, cooking/homeware, was breathtaking and every step you took there was something new and amazing to tempt you! The entertainers really made the day a hit while Mum and Dad enjoyed a coffee in our popular lounge area, DJ Elektra had hordes of kids dancing and singing, Music with Monica had the kids displaying their musical talents, the face painting, soccer, wandering clown, and stilt walker were all a hit, and the jumping castle made for some very happy parents with exhausted kids at the end of the day!
As the sun started to set and the temperature started to fall the emphasis shifted from ice cream, sno cones, and cold drinks to the amazing gourmet meals available as everyone refueled after an amazing day that really emphasised that the Mummy Tree Markets truly are an event and not just a market!
The “best boutique stall” was awarded to Doilies and Dreams, the colours, different levels displaying their very unique items, and attention to detail was so impressive, and we look forward to seeing them again at our Robina Markets as their prize
A big thank you Jade from Forever After Photography for her beautiful images, Mel from Sanctuary Cove for all her hard work on the day, and all the stallholders and customers! Definitely a day to remember!
Darcie from Wintertwine, and Jenna from Kingston Blue
What a beautiful winters day it was to launch our new Robina Market on the Gold Coast!
Glorious weather greeted us at first light, when the setup began for our debut indoor market held at The Community Performing Arts Centre at Robina State School last saturday.
As stallholders arrived with their array of unique products & services the CPAC transformed into a glorious boutique market with 65+ businesses ready to showcase their goods to our local Gold Coast community.
Customers from every part of the coast, were delighted to see such a quality market showcasing not only newborn, baby & childrens clothing, but maternity wear, designer ladies clothing, vintage candles, jewellery, local surfwear, photography, homewears & of course we had the boys covered too!
There was a hairdressing service for convenience and a great price to match, by Crazy Critter Cuts!
Amongst the fun was a line up of FREE entertainment for the kids to enjoy, from facepainting, interactive music & of course our regular kids disco parties by DJ Elektra.
Our sponsor, Gold Coast Gymnastics set-up a FREE “Come & Try” circuit which was a hit with the kids!! Who wouldn’t want to tumble & play with professionally trained coaches J
Whist the kids were entertained, the parents enjoyed a coffee, bite to eat & I’m sure a sweet treat or two, from our delicious selection of local food businesses available to them on Saturday morning.
As customers wandered, shopped & socialised – kids giggled, danced & played, the market was nearing an end We drew our customer feedback competition – won by Linda of nerang, who walked away with a designer Kids Flip Out Sofa kindly donated by Little Bumchums.
Our Best Boutique Stall was won by the talented Corinne from ‘tea&sugar’ collections with her vintage inspired candles.
